Lighting Field, 1971-77The Lightning Field (1977) is a Land Art work in Catron County, New Mexico, by sculptor Walter De Maria. It consists of 400 stainless steel poles with solid, pointed tips, arranged in a rectangular 1 mile × 1 kilometer grid array.
This Land Art is maintained by Dia. You are able to rent a space in the cabin and stay there overnight. Hopefully, I can make a visit to this exhibit once I move to AZ.
